What is the difference between Stock In and Stock Take?
There are 2 options when updating stock levels via Expandly. These are:
Stock In - on this page, you will be able to search for the product(s) you wish to update and can then enter a stock value, which will then add to the current stock level already held within Expandly, rather than replace it.
Stock Take - on this page, you can search for the product(s) you wish to update and then enter the new quantity available - You can also carry out stock takes in bulk via a CSV upload. The quantity added here will replace the current quantity in Expandly.
Also, via the Stock Take function, you can select to 'Include In Progress Quantity in Stock Take', which will automatically reduce the 'In Progress' total from the stock take, and ensure that you do not add incorrect stock levels, that you do not have available (due to orders you still have to fulfil), to your product(s).

Carrying out a Stock Take in bulk
1. Click Products & Listings (left menu) and then Manage Products:
2. On the Manage Products page, click Quantity Update (top right) and select the Stock Take option:
3. On the Stock Take page, scroll down to the Bulk Stock Take section and click to download a sample CSV file of your products
4. Open the downloaded file in Excel (or any other spreadsheet software)
5. On the CSV file, complete the relevant information for your products and save the file to your computer
Please Note: All columns downloaded on to the Stock Take file are required to ensure that when the file is uploaded, the quantities update across all products you have updated. Removing columns from the file will cause formatting issues and may lead to failures in the file being imported successfully and in turn, will affect our ability to push quantity updates out to your sales channel listing(s)
6. On Expandly, drag and drop the file into the Drop zone, or upload manually by clicking
7. Click to upload the file to Expandly. If successful, a notification will be received in the bottom right hand corner to make you aware. Please check in 10-15 minutes, and quantities will be updated on Expandly (and any listings associated to the products in Expandly) for you:
