Overview

In this guide, we will show you how to add and manage your product variations on Expandly.

What is a variation?

Some products you sell may be available in various different styles, colours or sizes for example - these are known as product variations. Product variants will usually have unique identifiers such as SKU, title, selling price and quantity, however every variant is based on the same product definition.

Things to consider

When selling variations, there are a number of things to consider:

  • Channel limitations Some channels may have limitations in place when listing variations  - for example Etsy can only accept up to 70 variations on one product, and eBay do not allow you to list via a third party using their own attribute names such as 'Colour'. It is recommended that you check channel requirements and restrictions prior to attempting to list to avoid any issues.
