Requesting Shipping Quotes prior to Shipping

Requesting Shipping Quotes prior to Shipping

Overview

This guide explains the process and the types of charges you may incur when requesting a shipping quote, regardless of whether you choose to proceed with dispatching the shipment.

To provide an accurate shipping quote, the order must be fully picked so that the correct weights and dimensions can be captured. This information must be entered into the courier platform in order to obtain a quote.

Shipping costs cannot be accurately calculated while stock remains in inventory, as items are stored differently compared to how they are consolidated and prepared for dispatch.

Next Steps

1. Enter an order into the portal.
2. Once received, the Warehouse Team will pick the order and provide the CSR Team with the required weights and dimensions.
3. The CSR Team will obtain a courier shipping quote and share this with you via the Ticketing System.
4. You can then decide how you would like to proceed:
If you choose to ship, the order will be dispatched accordingly.
If you choose not to ship, the Warehouse Team will return the picked stock to inventory. This step is required in order to obtain the shipping quote.

What charges should I expect?

Typical charges may include:

  • Picking fees

  • Shipping fees (if you choose to proceed with dispatch)

  • Put-away fees (if you choose not to proceed and the items need to be returned to stock)

All charges will be applied in line with our current 3PL Rate Card
