Overview
In this guide, we will explain what documentation needs to be submitted alongside any UK VAT registrations.
UK VAT Documentation required
1. HMRC 64-8 Form
- This is the form used in the UK to authorise a third-party (such as Expandly) to deal with HMRC on your behalf and gives us permission to complete your filings
- You will need to fill in your business address, and sign and date the first page - we will however need all pages to be scanned back to us, once complete
- This form must be signed by hand
2. A copy of a supplier invoice (dated in the last 3 months)
3. Amazon UK Seller Central screenshots
- We will require screenshots to be provided, from your UK Amazon Seller Central account, which shows the shipping page, merchant token screen, FBA registered screen, and Seller Account Information screen
- These screenshots must be full screen, showing the URL and date/time
- You can read more about why we need these, by clicking here
4. A signed copy of the Shipping Contract
- This is required to satisfy the needs of HMRC that you intend to ship goods into the UK
- Although the signed contract is with Expandly, this does not mean that you have to use us for our shipping of 3PL fulfilment and storage needs. We can however support with this as we have warehouse locations across the UK and in the NL
