What is the definition of a Manufacturer?

1. A manufacturer is the person or business that makes a product or has a product made and then places it on the market under their own name or trademark. This includes anyone who produces the product directly or who modifies, rebrands, or sells a product as their own.
   
2. If you make any changes to a product or packaging and/or place your name on a product then you are classed as the manufacturer, and it will be your address that is needed to be added to the product packaging.
   
3. The manufacturer is responsible for ensuring the product is safe and compliant with applicable regulations, maintaining required technical and compliance documentation, and correctly labelling the product with their name and address.
   
4. Additionally, as the manufacturer, you are responsible for any GPSR documentation that will be required to complete RP compliance checks.
