Why am I not issued EPR certificates?

Why am I not issued EPR certificates?

Why am I not issued EPR certificates?

Unlike VAT, where you will receive a formal VAT registration certificate, for EPR, this is not the case. For EPR:
  1. You register with the environmental regulator
  2. Once accepted, you are given a producer registration number and your business will appear on the public register of producers
  3. You will receive confirmation that your registration is complete, and will be provided the registration numbers but will not be issued a separate 'certificate' in the same way that you would when registering for VAT in different countries.
  4. Your EPR Number functions as your proof of compliance. This number is that you'd share with marketplace platforms, business partners, or authorities when asked to evidence your EPR registration.
