Next Steps in Your Expandly 3PL Onboarding

Overview

Firstly, thank you for choosing Expandly to support your 3PL (Warehousing and Fulfilment) needs. This is an exciting step in your growth journey, and we’re delighted to be working with you.
In this guide, we will explain the next steps of completion, that will be required and will allow our Teams to configure your account accurately and ensure a smooth, efficient onboarding experience.

1. Product Upload Template (PUT)

What it is:
The Product Upload Template is an Excel file where you provide all details about your SKUs. This information is how we add your products into our Warehouse Management System (WMS).

How to complete it:

  • All required fields highlighted in green must be filled in.

  • Some fields are mandatory only for certain product types (e.g., batch, expiry, and serial numbers).

  • Optional fields can be left blank if not applicable.

Why it matters: Accurate product data is critical because it drives:

  • Inventory control – ensures accurate stock levels

  • Fulfilment speed – prevents delays in picking and packing

  • Cost accuracy – ensures correct pricing and storage charges

  • Compliance – meets regulatory requirements

  • Client satisfaction – faster, error-free deliveries

  • Warehouse scalability – supports growth and operational efficiency

Think of this as the foundation of your 3PL service. Everything we do relies on this data being accurate.

Please complete the Excel file attached to your 3PL OnBoarding email,  titled OnBoarding PUT and return it to your onboarding contact.


2. Carton Data

What it is:
The Carton Data template captures information about the packaging and dimensions of your products. This data ensures your items are stored, picked, and shipped efficiently.

Why it matters:

  • Supports cost control by ensuring storage and shipping charges are accurate

  • Improves operational efficiency by optimising warehouse handling

  • Ensures compliance with storage and transport regulations

Please complete the Excel file attached to your 3PL OnBoarding email,  titled Carton Data and return it to your onboarding contact.


3. 3PL Questionnaire

What it is:
A short online form that helps our Warehouse Team understand your fulfilment requirements and profile your account accurately.

Why it matters:

  • Helps us tailor our services to your specific needs

  • Ensures SLA and operational configurations are correct from day one


4. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

To provide the best service, it’s important we determine the SLA tier that suits your business. The SLA outlines:

  • Order processing times

  • Dispatch schedules

  • Recurring charges

Next Steps

Once you’ve returned your completed PUT, Carton Data, and 3PL Questionnaire, our teams will:

  1. Validate your data and check for any missing or high-risk items

  2. Set up your account in our WMS

  3. Configure SLAs, billing, and portal access

  4. Confirm your account is ready for live operations

  5. Reach out to set up a call to discuss next steps and provide a demo which will support with learning how to use the portal for your 3PL needs (Creating ASNs, Orders, Viewing Product Stock Levels etc.) 

Completing these documents promptly will help us get your account fully operational as quickly as possible.
